Airport FBOs are one of the great advantages of flying private. These private airport terminals save you time and hassle, providing a very personal experience so different from typical airport terminals.

With an airport FBO you can turn up just 15 minutes before a flight and breeze through security. You enjoy an experience akin to a first-class lounge, just without having to negotiate the rest of a terminal first.

You can read more about airport FBOs in this guide. In this article we run through some of the best airport FBOs in North America and beyond, as ranked by Business Jet Traveler and the Pilots’ Choice Survey.

1. McKinney Air Center, Texas

A long-standing favorite of pilots, McKinney Air Center has been ranked the number one airport FBO in North America three times now. It’s loved by pilots for its exceptional customer service and the complete suite of aircraft services.

2. Business Jet Center, Dallas Love Field

Loved by pilots and customers alike, the Business Jet Center is a full service airport FBO that makes it quick and easy to access Dallas, Texas. With air charters you don’t need to use busy international airports that are outside the city; you save time by landing at smaller facilities.

Meridian Teterboro

The go-to airport FBO at North America’s most popular private jet airport, Meridian is the classic executive flight terminal. Everything is so smooth at this 30,000 square feet terminal. There are also sleep rooms, work stations, a large gym with showers, and a business center.

Tag Farnborough, UK

Head and shoulders above most in Europe, Tag Farnborough is the convenient gateway for air charters into London. It’s won multiple awards and topped various lists on European airport FBOs. With this facility there are none of the delays and stresses of landing at London’s busy airports.

J.A. Air Center, Aurora Municipal

Second on the most recent Business Jet Traveler list, J.A. Air Center has been the FBO of choice in the American Midwest since the 1960s. It’s now a member of the Air Elite network.

Banyan Air Service, Fort Lauderdale

The southeastern airport FBO most pilots prefer to use, Banyan offers fuel and ground services 24-7, 365 days a year. There’s turbine airframe and engine maintenance along with avionics servicing. This is a classic stop and gateway for flights to the Caribbean.

Jet Aviation, Sydney Kingsford Smith, Australia

Another in the list of popular and top-rated airport FBOs being acquired by one of aviation’s biggest names, this airport FBO was formerly operated by Hawker. New owners Jet Aviation have preserved the excellent VIP passenger lounge and make it easy to fly out of Australia’s busiest airport.

Jet Aviation Geneva, Switzerland

A superior facility for business travelers coming in and out of Switzerland, this airport FBO has been trusted for over 45 years now. It’s another in the Air Elite Network.

Ross Aviation, Long Beach

AirFlite Aviation Services was ranked North America’s premier airport FBO three years in a row by Business Jet Traveler. In 2016 it was acquired by Ross Aviation, who have preserved the quality of service, even if many pilots would still love to have the original AirFlite facility back.

Tampa International Jet Center, Tampa International

Yet another popular FBO recently acquired by one of the bigger players, Tampa International Jet Center is now operated by Sheltair Aviation. It’s a spacious and comfortable facility for crew and passengers alike.

Jet Aviation, Tererboro

These facilities can be compared based on price and ease of access, with both providing the world-class amenities always expected of Dubai.

Million Air, St Louis

Just one of over 20 excellent Million Air facilities across the United States, this airport FBO is just a few minutes from downtown St Louis and Clayton. The spacious lobby is fully equipped but most passengers don’t stay long – the highlight here is the speed in which passengers can be in the air.

Landmark Aviation, Paris Le Bourget, France

The airport and FBO of choice when flying on a transatlantic route to Paris, this Signature facility offers a business center, conference rooms, sleep rooms, plus all the typical facilities you would expect.
