Booking and managing your charter

Booking and paying for a charter is also done through the app. Once a flight is confirmed you can share the itinerary with others as well as request changes. All aspects of the flight can be managed through the app, but you also have a direct line through to a concierge should you need assistance.

Sharing the cost of the aircraft with others

Regulations had previously made it difficult to book an air charter and share the cost with others. Airvel and the Airvel app has a solution to this.

Through the app you can share trip details with other passengers. Each passenger can then pay for an individual seat by entering their payment details. Once all the seats have been paid for the aircraft is booked.

So I don’t need a jet card?

No. There is no need for any pre-investment or any minimum number of flying hours. With Airvel you only pay for the flights you need. All you need is a debit or credit card to pay for the flight you book.

What aircraft are available on the app?

The App provides you with an unrestricted choice of aircraft for every flight. Most air charter customers find they need a different type of private jet for each flight they take, dependent on the distance traveled and the number of passengers. By searching all the possible options you’ll find a deal that is best for your specific flight.

Is it safe?

All charters booked through the Airvel app are FAA Part 135 charters. This ensures minimum safety standards and is the same governance applied to all air charters in the US, regardless of where or how you book them. Airvel also implements additional safety measures that go above the FAA minimum.

After I request an aircraft what happens next?

When requesting an aircraft your details are sent to the operator, who will confirm price and availability. Airvel does not own any aircraft. Instead, we connect travelers with operators. This naturally means there is a lag time between requesting an aircraft and a confirmed booking. We always aim to keep this to below four hours. Airvel will only request payment after price and availability has been confirmed. You will need to pay for the flight in full for the booking to be confirmed.

What if something goes wrong?

Through the app you have direct contact to an Airvel concierge. You can easily switch from mobile app to mobile telephone, whether it’s to make changes to the flight or request an air charter that is more complicated than most. By going through the app you can also alert the pilot if you’re running late or something isn’t right.
